If you’ve spent any time at Meetinghouse, you already know chef and partner Drew DiTomo is a big part of what makes the place feel special. He grew up washing dishes in Overbrook, cooked in some of Philly’s most respected kitchens, and even spent time in Austin and at an agriturismo outside Lucca, Italy. He’s also a genuinely friendly guy in an authentic, no-BS way, the kind of person you instantly feel comfortable talking to. You can feel that same ease in how he cooks: pitch-perfect baked clams, crisp turkey cutlets, and that now-iconic green salad towering over the table.
At Meetinghouse, Drew has helped create the perfect neighborhood bar and restaurant, the kind of spot where people settle in and stay loyal. And the folks who love it (and there are lots of us) REALLY love it. These days, he’s focused on refining the place with his partners and team, keeping it one of the city’s most consistently excellent hangs.
