WHAT’S GOOD: MICHAEL PERSICO

Michael Persico is a photographer and director working in the food and beverage industry. He came up envisioning a career in fashion and music, and that instinct never left the work: dynamic light, movement, and story treated with the same attention. Seven cookbooks, most recently Kalaya’s Southern Thai Kitchen with James Beard Award-winning chef Nok Suntaranon, alongside campaigns and editorial for Condé Nast, The New York Times, American Express, Resy, Lillet, Teremana, and Gran Coramino. Lately the work has taken him to Mexico, Guatemala, Thailand, Portugal, and Paris – but Philadelphia will always be home.

We asked Michael to tell us about a few of his favorite spots around Philly.
