Graham Cuddy is a painter, and the owner of Procession Gallery in Old City. After the closing of University of the Arts, and the downsizing of Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Graham was disturbed by the idea that opportunities for artists to show their work could be dwindling. As a PAFA graduate himself, his friends included many other talented, but frustrated, artists seeking outlets. He wanted to create a space for emerging artists–with a focus on abstract and representational painting–to exhibit their work and introduce the city to a new crop of artists with different kinds of painting styles. Since 2024, Procession Gallery has hosted over 10 shows, and recently opened its newest exhibition, Weather Report. A reception for the show will be held this Friday, September 4th.
We asked Graham to share a few of his favorite spots around Philly.
